Each year the Board of Trustees reviews data from a variety of sources such as Student, Parent and Staff Satisfaction Surveys; Provincial Achievement Tests and Diploma Examination Results; Accountability Pillar information from Alberta Education, as well as school and jurisdictional 5 year trend data to identify strategic priorities.
During the fall of 2015 and based on the Division's three goals, 1) Literacy and Numeracy, 2) Success for all Learners, and 3) Transitions, the Board of Trustees worked on creating their areas of emphasis which tie to these goals. Two areas, 1) Advocacy with Provincial and Federal Politicians and 2) Advocacy to Facilitate Success of First Nation Students were chosen as prime areas to support at this time. At the December 8, 2015 Board Meeting their 2015-2016 Areas of Emphasis were approved. To view the full document click here.
