Director of Learning (Support Services) Lisa Furukawa is confident that Leanne will have a positive impact on students. “Leanne is an inspirational leader who models a commitment to ongoing learning, reflection, and growth,” says Lisa. “She lives our vision ‘every student, every day’ as she supports the whole child to see their personal genius.”

Leanne is passionate about the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Leader in Me philosophy and helped lead W.A. Day to become a certified Lighthouse School in 2022. She is excited to work in collaboration with the Livingstone Range Learning Services team, school teams, students, and families to ensure the success of all students from the early years to graduation.

“All students deserve to experience rich and meaningful learning opportunities in safe and supportive environments that allow them to realize their full potential as today and tomorrow’s leaders,” says Leanne. “I can’t wait to help influence student growth and achievement on a larger scale!”

Leanne is married to Rich, and mom to Tess (20) and Tristan (17). She loves to spend time camping, paddle boarding, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing, snowshoeing, skiing, and traveling with her family and two Border Collies: Katie and Cowboy.

Congratulations to Leanne on her new role!
