Livingstone Range School Division

Livingstone School Capital Project

Livingstone School in Lundbreck is the Board of Trustees' next priority capital project. On March 14, 2025 the Alberta Government approved Pre-Planning funding to cover the cost of value scoping to determine the preferred option for either the modernization or replacement of Livingstone School, and for stakeholder engagement with the community of Lundbreck.

The original Livingstone School was built in 1902 with additions in 1959, 1968, and a modernization in 1992, along with the removal of the original building. Currently, there are 258 Kindergarten to Grade 12 students at the school, which is also home to the Livingstone Ski Academy.

Stakeholder Engagement

Community Engagement Session | June 17, 2025 • 6:30-8:00pm

Parents and community members  from Lundbreck, Cowley, and the Livingstone School attendance boundary are invited to provide feedback about the future of Livingstone School. As part of the Pre-Planning Funding phase, Livingstone Range School Division seeks community perspectives and input about future programming, potential partnerships, and what alternatives may be available (ie. modernization/replacement school).
