Dalziel Whipple Named Assistant Principal of F.P. Walshe

Livingstone Range School Division is pleased to announce that Dalziel Whipple has been named Assistant Principal of F.P. Walshe School in Fort Macleod beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. 

Whipple holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Lethbridge, and is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Northern British Columbia. She has twenty years of teaching experience including as a learning support teacher.

Incoming F.P. Walshe School Principal Greg Freer is confident that Whipple will be a benefit to the school community. “Dalziel has a strong background in Learning Support,” says Freer, ”and has much leadership experience working with families to assist in individualized student programming. This supports our leadership philosophy in providing innovative and flexible opportunities to meet individual student needs.”

Believing that collaborative teams and strong relationships are the foundation for student success, Whipple is eager for this leadership opportunity. “I am thrilled to be joining F.P. Walshe!” she says. “I’m looking forward to building genuine and meaningful connections with students, staff, and the community in this new role.

Whipple loves living on an acreage with her husband Steven, children Emersyn and Eisley, and their highland cows. When she’s not driving her daughters to their activities, she can be found volunteering for community and sports boards, reading, cross-stitching, camping, and paddle boarding.
