Posted onLivingstone Range School Division is pleased to announce that Tara Tanner has been named the new Division Principal of At-Home Learning & Home Education.
“With enrolment changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, more families are choosing teacher-directed at-home learning or parent-led Home Education for their children,” says Superintendent Darryl Seguin. “A Division Principal of at-home learning and Home Education will ensure excellence in education for our 500 students learning in alternative settings this year.”

She has been an educator for 22 years as a math/physics teacher, elementary school teacher, and in various administrator roles. She is enthusiastic about working with the staff and students in-home learning programming.
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to build and grow our LRSD Virtual School,” says Tara. “Education is continually evolving and being able to offer flexible and innovative learning opportunities for students will become increasingly important in the years to come.”
Superintendent Seguin is also excited about the opportunities this role will bring to Livingstone Range School Division students.
“‘Every student, every day’ is our focus,” says Darryl. “Tara will help ensure continuity of learning and support for those students in our Division who are learning outside of a traditional classroom setting.”
