Students Excel at 2024 Regional Skills Competition

Congratulations to all of the Livingstone Range School Division high school students who competed in the 2024 Regional Skills Canada Alberta Competition for the Southwest Alberta Region in March. Twelve of our LRSD students received gold, silver, or bronze medals in their category and qualified to move on to the provincial Skills Canada competition in May. 

Students showed off their skills in cabinet making, carpentry, culinary arts, photography, video production, and hairstyling, competing against other high school students from southwestern Alberta.

The LRSD medal winners were:

  • Job Brobbel, Willow Creek Composite HS – Cabinet Making – Bronze
  • Carter Henderson, F.P. Walshe School– Carpentry – Bronze
  • Carter Oakes, Willow Creek Composite HS – Culinary – Gold
  • Victoria Okeke, Willow Creek Composite HS – Hairstyling Intermediate – Gold
  • Calleigh Smith, Willow Creek Composite HS – Hairstyling Intermediate – Silver
  • Laurice Nieto, F.P. Walshe School – Hairstyling Intermediate – Bronze
  • Kyler Provost, F.P. Walshe School – Hairstyling Junior – Gold
  • Hayley Bronson, Willow Creek Composite HS – Hairstyling Junior – Silver
  • Leilani Oakes, Willow Creek Composite HS – Hairstyling Junior – Bronze
  • Cordelia Yip, F.P. Walshe School – Photography – Gold
  • Sophia Groves and Garrett Ouellet-Kane, Crowsnest Consolidated HS– Video Production – Gold
